Children's Vision Screening with an Optometrist
An affordable first-line vision check for children in Singapore -$60
A simple vision screening can identify children who may need further assessment for short-sightedness, long-sightedness, astigmatism or other vision concerns.
Does My Child Need an Ophthalmologist Instead?
If your child already has myopia, symptoms, a squint, significant family history of myopia, or you are concerned about progression, a comprehensive assessment with Dr Cheryl Lee, ophthalmologist, may be more appropriate at $150
Do not depend on your child to tell you when he cannot see clearly
Screening includes:
Visual acuity test
Colour vision test
Stereopsis (3-D vision test)
Consultation with optometrist specialist
Please note:
– Applicable only to new patients from 4-12 years old
For children with no known eye problems: start with our optometrist-led vision screening.
If your child has suspected or progressing myopia, symptoms, or an abnormal screening result: a comprehensive assessment with Dr Cheryl Lee may be recommended.
“Very often, the myopia is picked up late because we depend on school health screening or we wait for the child to complain or you notice your child is squinting. Do not leave your child’s health to chance. Myopia can only get worse if not treated.
My son, Mark, has been checked every 3 months from 4 years old and I would treat the minute he shows any sign of leaning towards myopia”
